ABOUT MEGrowing up in the Black Forest area in Germany, I always liked nature, food and people. Out of that love for people, I became a nurse and worked in that field for 10 years. Even though I did enjoy most of my work, I really missed having more time for the individual patients, to connect with them on a more personal level and help them to find inner strength in times of sickness and stress.
My husband and I relocated to Michigan in 1993, shortly after our first daughter was born. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with her. Over the years we had two more daughters and added a Cockapoo and a Guinea pig to our family. What a lively house we have!
During my years at home, I enjoyed psychology and anthropology classes at a local college to keep my brain stimulated and develop a better understanding of people. Five years ago I decided to fulfill my lifelong dream of having a deeper and more positive and meaningful connection with people by pursuing a career as a life coach. I took the required classes at the Institute for Life Coach Training and started coaching in the summer of 2012. In my free time, I read novels, knit, and research social science materials. I love meeting with friends for coffee or drinks, having many laughs and good conversations, and taking long nature walks with our sweet dog Dusty. |
